One eSIM for a three-country trip
10 days across France, Italy and Spain. Every result marks which stops a plan covers, so a plan that stops at the border can't pass for a trip plan.

How it works
Tell us your route
Add each country and how many days you'll spend there, plus how much data you need and any must-haves like hotspot or calls.
See what actually fits
Plans that meet every requirement come first. Plans that nearly fit are listed with the exact reason they don't.
Check, then buy direct
Read the source we used, then buy on the provider's own site. We never sell eSIMs or take payment.
Providers we compare
This is not the whole market. We list a provider only after checking its plans on its own website, so we compare 15 providers and 3113 plans today, with more being verified. A provider that isn't here hasn't been checked yet, not ruled out.

How we decide what comes first
When you search, plans that meet all your requirements are ordered by total price. Ties go to the plan whose provider documents more of its terms, then to the one with more data. That's the whole formula — there are no sponsored positions and no “best” badges.
Read the full methodologySource and date on every price
Each plan links to the provider page we read and the date we read it. Prices older than 30 days are flagged.
Three answers, not two
Hotspot, 5G and calls are marked yes, no, or not documented — we don't fill gaps with guesses.
Country knowledge that changes the choice
Blocked apps in China, restricted calls in the UAE, plans that stop at the border — on each destination page.

All guidesHow travel eSIMs work
An eSIM is a SIM built into your phone. A travel eSIM is a data plan you download to it before a trip.

How to install and activate a travel eSIM
Install at home on Wi-Fi, switch it on when you land, and turn on data roaming for the eSIM line only.

How much mobile data do you need when travelling?
Most travellers who avoid video streaming use under 1 GB a day. Streaming and hotspotting change everything.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best eSIM provider for international travel?
The best eSIM provider depends on your destination, budget, data needs and the networks it uses. Compare providers on price, data allowance, validity, hotspot support and customer support before choosing a plan.
How do I choose the best eSIM provider for my trip?
First check that the provider covers every country on your route and that your phone supports eSIM and is carrier-unlocked. Then compare the total price, data limit, validity, supported networks, activation rules and refund policy to find the plan that gives the best value for your trip.
Which eSIM provider offers the cheapest data plans?
It changes by country, data allowance and plan length. Compare the total price for your trip and the cost per GB, and check for speed limits, expiry dates and extra fees.
Which eSIM provider offers unlimited data?
Several providers sell plans advertised as unlimited, but the conditions differ. Check the fair-use policy, how much high-speed data you get before speeds are reduced, and any hotspot limits before buying. Where a provider documents these limits, we show them when you compare plans side by side.
Which eSIM provider has the best international coverage?
The one that covers the countries and regions on your itinerary with reliable local networks. Check the provider's country list, the networks it uses in each country and whether it has a regional or global plan before buying.
Can I buy an eSIM before travelling and activate it later?
Yes, many travel eSIMs can be bought and installed before your trip. Activation and validity rules vary, though: check whether the plan's validity starts when you install it, activate it or first connect to a supported network, and whether it must be activated within a set time after purchase.
Which eSIM provider supports hotspot and tethering?
It depends on the provider and the specific plan. If you need to share data with a laptop, tablet or another phone, confirm that tethering is allowed and whether any limits apply. We mark hotspot on each plan as yes, no or not documented.
Do eSIM providers offer refunds if a plan does not work?
Refund policies vary by provider, and eligibility often depends on whether the eSIM has been installed, activated or used. Before buying, read the refund terms and check what support is available if you have connection or activation problems.
Can I use an eSIM without changing my existing phone number?
Yes. Most travel eSIMs are data-only and don't come with a phone number, so on a dual-SIM phone your usual line stays active alongside the travel eSIM. You choose which line handles mobile data. Calls and texts on your usual number can still cost roaming charges from your home carrier, so check its rates and turn off data roaming on that line.
Is it better to buy an eSIM directly from a provider or through a comparison website?
Buying from the provider means its installation instructions, support and refund terms apply to you directly. A comparison site lets you see several providers' prices, data and terms in one place first. Best eSIM Provider doesn't sell eSIMs: every plan links to the provider's own site, so you compare here and buy direct.
Is this site free to use?
Yes. Best eSIM Provider doesn't sell eSIMs or take payment. When you buy through a provider link we may earn a commission from the provider, at no extra cost to you.
Do commissions affect the order of plans?
No. Results are ordered by the published formula on our methodology page, which uses price and documented terms only. Our data has no commission field to sort by.
How current are the prices?
Each plan shows the date we checked it on the provider's page. The latest check was 24 Oct 2026. Prices can change at any time, so confirm on the provider's site before buying.
Why do you compare so few providers?
We only list plans we've checked on the provider's own website. More providers will be added as we verify their plans, terms and coverage.
What does 'Not documented' mean?
The provider's page didn't say. For example, a plan may allow hotspot use, but if the provider doesn't state it we won't claim it either way.
